叶(yè)

Pronounced "yea", it is a Chinese surname that means leaf.

Founded in New York City, YE jewelry is made by Lydia Yap, a Singaporean and graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology. YE was borne out of her expressions of artistic and poetic concepts in sculptural form.

She seeks to create subtle, discreet jewelry that has special meaning to its wearer. Keeping to simple forms and quality materials, it is her hope that the pieces which leave the studio transcend time and get passed onto the following generations, emotions attached. Her designs are based on the rules of geometry and proportion, making wearability a priority. Human touch is evident and craftmanship celebrated in textures which are unique to each piece.

Both traditional hand carving and 3D printing are used to create pieces which are cast by the traditional lost-wax process and then hand finished.
